Is Shameen Post Office still functioning.

If so (a) is it doing so under Japanese super- vision (b) do the Japanese require that mails delivered there should pass via Formosa.

If necessary would you be prepared to receive at the Consulate letters carried by British

gunboat adaressed to hameen residents.

I am loathe to surrender right to send mails direct from this Colony to British Concession at Shameen by British vessels.
